COURSE DESCRIPTION
Using domestic laws and international conventions and treaties, this course interrogates the concepts of citizenship, identity, and statelessness as well the phenomenon of increasing international migration and its attendant challenges. It explores case laws and case studies relating to the status of refugees and internally displaced people, the laws on the protection of refugees and the obligation of state and non-state actions in respect of refugees.
